For hundreds of years, Baptists rooted their families in the Christian Faith by means of a catechism. We are restoring that practice.
What is a Catechism?
A catechism is a series of questions and answers that are age-appropriate for children, and cover the basics of theology, the 10 Commandments, and the Lord's Prayer. We use the New City Catechism, a new catechism that contains 52 questions. We teach our children one question a week by use of games, songs, and class time discussing what the question and answer means for their faith and life.

A Catechism Testimony:
From an Email:
Just wanted to share how my kids are
responding to our Sunday night Catechisms.
Twice this week we have been driving
in the car and Thomas has heard a word or phrase in a song that has made him
stop and say, "mommy did you hear what they said?"
One time it was " life and
death," and the other time was "creator." Each time I asked Thomas
the Catechism question that went with the phrase and he knew the answer! Madison
also had a conversation with Matt asking about the trinity.
These would have not happened if we
weren't doing the Catechism classes!
Todd thanks for leading this and
Karl, thanks for introducing us to them!
